Eye Twitch!
Sep 17, 2007.
I haven’t written a blog in over a month. I haven’t really been inspired to write anything. I’ve wanted to write about my summer drive to Hokkaido. But lately all of my free time outside of work I try to devote to Reiko stuff and whatever time’s left I try to relax a little.
Anyway, I’ve got this twitch-thing in my lower-left eyelid. When I put my finger on it I can feel a blood vessel convulse. It’s really annoying. I feel like some insane guy with a twitchy eye. I guess I must be stressed out about something, but everything seems fine. I’ve been getting decent sleep. I don’t get it. Maybe there’s some unconscious stuff bothering me.
*twitch*
Japanese word of the day: ME – eye

Sounds like you’ve got a good ol’ case of Blepharospasm. Here’s what it is & how to fix it/cope with it:

September 19th, 2007 at 6:28 amRapid blinking does not seem like what I have. Internet diagnosis is not reliable. You can find the worst disease for the mildest symptom. A hypochondriac’s dream.
Anyhow the twitch has cleared up for the moment.
September 19th, 2007 at 7:22 amHmm… Why don’t you try to rub ice on your eye and then dab a warm towel on it?
With the mixture of the cold and heat, it’ll calm down the nerves (or so my mother says…)
Otherwise, hope your eye clears up completely soon.
September 20th, 2007 at 5:11 amSounds like stress or lack of sleep. It happend to me a couple of times and went away after a few good night sleep.
September 20th, 2007 at 5:44 amI dont know about hot and cold presses on my eye at work. I’ve been making myself sleep longer hours. Despite seeming to be cured the twitch has made surprise appearances in awkward times during the day. It is impossible to completely unstress my life.
Well, I just bought some eye drops. I havent tried them yet though.
September 20th, 2007 at 6:42 amDon’t worry. It can last for several days. It’s just a muscle spasm. Continue getting enough sleep and it’ll go away.
September 23rd, 2007 at 10:54 amWhy does it have to be in my eye? Why cant I have a muscle spasm in my ass or some place where no one can see? Damn it.
September 23rd, 2007 at 3:57 pmIt may be one of the symptoms of Tardive Dyskinesia.
March 18th, 2008 at 9:36 amis your twitch gone yet. I have the twitch, I have the freaking twitch. Lower eyelid, I can feel some nerve or something in my eyebrow and it hurts and I dont want to be the crazy eye twitch girl! I used to pretend to have an eyetwitch when I was irritated but now I actually have one? what, why??why!? karma maybe for making fun of eye twitches before? I just want it to go away, maybe acupuncture… but tell me, is your twitch gone, how did you make it go away. and I agree, why does the twitch have to be in the eyeball? I would take an ass spasm over an eye spasm any day.
